BEAST’s magnae Dongwoon showed his love for 2PM on SBS ‘Inkigayo.’
On the 13th, BEAST performed with their follow up song ‘Mystery’ on ‘Inkigayo.’
After the winner of the mutizen award was announced, Dongwoon exchanged clothes with 2PM who had an encore stage. And originally done by Taecyeon and Chansung in the ‘head-shove’ performance, he also showed this with other 2PM member Junsu. 2PM is known to have a close relationship with BEAST and when switching the two choreographies, they earned many cheers from the fans.
‘Wang BiHo’ Yoon Hyungbin spit out venomous words to rookie group BEAST.
On the December 13 broadcast of KBS 2TV ‘Gag Concert,’ Yoon HyungBin pointed at BEAST sitting in the audience and said, “I was wondering for a long time if they were MBLAQ or U-KISS. Why are they so similar, is that why you’re called BEAST?” (TN: In Korean, “similar” and “beast” sound almost the same.)
He also said, “Looking at them closely, BEAST’s skills have already been accepted. Yoon Doojoon is a friend who almost made it into 2PM and 2AM. And Jang Hyunseung regretfully failed to become Big Bang’s sixth member. Lee Kikwang already performed as the solo singer AJ.”
But right after, Yoon Hyungbin remarked, “These friends, like apples which aren’t quite good enough to go into the box and instead go into plastic bags, are scarred people. They’ve been recycled.”
Yoon Hyungbin’s stated “I have to watch my words. A while ago, BEAST went on a radio show, and Lee Hyuk Jae sunbae said ‘You guys are going to become like Battle.’ But he later had to apologize on live broadcast.”
But he added, “I’m not going to apologize. I’m always like this anyways” and exemplified his boldness.
Yoon Hyungbin then went on to point at Yang Yoseub who was blonde hair and asked, “Isn’t that G-Dragon?” But he then backtracked and said, “Looking at his face, he’s not. People only say he’s cute because he’s in an idol group, he actually looks like ‘Jwe Min Soo’ Jo Won Suk,” making the audience burst into laughter.

The release date for K-pop group SHINee’s new mini-album has been put off by three days to October 22, according to their agency on Monday.
“We found problems to several songs on the albums so we had to recall every copy to make new ones,” SM Entertainment said in a press release. The albums were set to go on sale today.
SM added that however, the digital versions to all six tracks listed in “2009, Year of Us” were released on online music sites including Melon and Dosirak.
“Ring Ding Dong,” the title song to SHINee’s third mini-album revealed earlier last week, has been receiving favorable response — topping the online charts of music websites Mnet and Dosirak over the weekend.
SHINee, one of the most popular idol groups in Korea, has had several K-pop hits, most notably their debut single “Older Girl, You’re So Pretty” and the recent chart topper “Juliette” from their previous mini-album released in May.
SHINee’s Minho was one of the guests on KBS2TV’s “Chitchat of Beauties” on the 19th along with his fellow group members, Jonghyun and Onew.
While the beautiful ladies from different countries talked about dating younger men they said, “Guys mature slower so we need to date older men so that our maturity levels are the same.”
Minho responded to this by saying, “That’s prejudice. It’s a stereotype that guys mature slower. It’s not always true. If you dated one, you’d think differently.”
Cute Minho also said, “I know about women. I know that they’re not men,” which made everyone laugh.
A fellow beauty supported Minho by saying, “I’ve always dated men younger than me. I’m more comfortable with younger men or men the same age as me. It makes me feel more powerful.”
Entertainment companies, including YG Entertainment, were ordered to correct their unfair contracts after a government inspection by the Korean Fair Trade Commission (FTC).
FTC announced on the 20th that 198 contracts between an entertainer and their company were corrected after their inspection on 20 entertainment companies. The inspection was carried out from April to May of this year.
For example, YG deleted the clause that reads “After the day that the contract between the company and the entertainer ends, the company is relieved from the duty to pay royalties from recorded materials to the entertainer and all proceeds from said materials belong to the company,” meaning that YG’s entertainers can now receive royalties from the songs they made with YG even after they leave the company. YG also changed the clause that reads “Entertainer must receive permission of the company in order to travel outside of Korea” to “Entertainer must inform of their out-of-country travel plans to the company beforehand to not cause any disruptions in management planning process,” meaning that YG’s entertainers like Big Bang and 2NE1 now may travel outside of the country without YG’s permissions.
Entertainers are now given the right to retire at will as well. “Entertainer may not cease performance or retire during the life of the contract without permission of the company” was changed to “If entertainer seeks to cease performance or retire during the life of the contract, the company and the entertainer may discuss the topic.” “Entertainer must use their talent and skills in accordance with the company’s decisions” was changed to “Entertainer must perform by fully employing their talent and skill, and the company must aid the entertainer with appropriate opportunities,” giving entertainers a bit more legal freedom with their decision making.
Overall, clauses that overly invade an entertainer’s privacy, invade an entertainer’s right to be a part of the decision making process for their career and performances, and clauses that force entertainers to perform for the company’s promotional activities without compensation and without consent of the entertainer were corrected.
This is a step towards a better environment for Korean entertainers, but this is just a small step. Merely 20 entertainment companies were inspected and corrected, as 320 companies under Korean Entertainment Producers Association were not a part of this inspection. FTC acknowledges the fact that unfair contracts are common in the entertainment industry and plans on directing the association in inspecting and correcting its members. It may be hard to imagine SM giving freedom to its entertainers, especially after the whole Kangin fiasco, but one day SNSD will be free to travel to Canada, to hang out with me without having to receive SM’s approval. One day.
